The Modern Art of Henna Design
Henna on Fibre & Wood
August 3rd to September 1st, 2010
Mahatma Gandhi once said, "Tru e art takes note not merely of form but also of what lies behind". This is especially true for Tammi; her henna designs are like a melody, with unique notes for all. Tammi, a Kamloops, BC resident, inherited her natural artistic ability from her Mother Kathie. After being introduced to henna by a close friend, Tammi immersed herself to 2 years of study, from its origin to creative techniques. Tammi uses 100% all natural, professional grade henna powder from India, Pakistan and Morocco; her art, a mirror of the cultures. Tammi has mastered the combination of powder with various 100% pure essential oils and has it down to a "tea". Therefore controlling the superior quality for any event or party she is at. Tammi, who now dreams in henna, has found her calling; embracing the fulfillment it has given her life.
