Enjoy a self-guided art tour on the North Shore! The Kamloops North Shore Artwalk brings together the artistic community, the business community, and the general public, with work by local artists being displayed at North Shore retailers. To create an optimal walking experience for Artwalk, this year’s event will focus on the north end of Tranquille Road, including Northills Mall & Fortune Shopping Centre.
Artwalk demonstrates that the arts are a key component of the Kamloops North Shore. The event increases awareness of arts and culture, encourages and support local artists, inspires Kamloopsians to get involved in the arts, and highlights the role the arts play in community life, including the economy and tourism. This is an excellent opportunity to promote and sell your artwork!

- Meet and mingle with local artists!
- Enter to win 2 day passes to the Kamloops THRiVE Festival!
- Watch artists Sherri May (printmaking), Lynda Boutilier (painting) and Dave Snider (photography) demonstrate how they create their masterpieces! A new art demonstration will begin at the top of each hour.
- Enjoy the great atmosphere and delicious goods of Red Beard Coffee Roasters!
- Melanie Van Mol will be reading from her novel The Crystal Guardian.
- Enjoy live performances by local musicians, including Michele Botel, Jodi Doidge, and Liz Brown.

Downtown Artwalk: Aug. 2 - Sept. 3, 2013
Kamloops Arts Council artists partner with Downtown businesses to display their work. Artwalk promotes the artists and their art, as well as the businesses.
How can YOU Participate in Artwalk? Simply follow the map, look for the big red foot displayed at each business and discover amazing artists and their works of art! While you're there, take a minute and appreciate the business you have stepped foot into.
