See what the Rivertown Players got up to in summer 2011...
Join Andrew Crabbe, Kirsten Sandberg, & Dianna Springford as they bring The Quest For the Holy Grail, Morton the Boy Wizard and Burlap Sash to life! This is storytelling of epic proportions – physical comedy, songs, and interactive fun with each character telling their own story. Medieval Knights Part 1 ran until the end of July, with Part 2 running from August 2nd to the 25th.
Medieval Knights is generally geared for an audience of children ages 4 to 10, but will be enjoyed by people of all ages (even adults!). The production is weather permitting!
The Kamloops Arts Council Summer Student Arts Program receives funding from HRDC’s Canada Summer Job Program and City of Kamloops Community Arts Grant. Thank you!
Meet the Players
Andrew Crabbe as Porthos the Musketeer!
Andrew is a TRU theatre graduate who plans on attending Studio 58 (a super-duper fancy acting school) in the fall. This is his second year as part of the Rivertown Players as both an actor and director. In his spare time he is a dragon heavy metal guitar player and playwright. He is also afraid of birds (except owls!) and his favourite ice cream is rainbow sherbet - which is technically not an ice cream.

Kirsten Sandberg as Morton!
Kirsten is a TRU alumni, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in theatre and English. This is Kirsten's second year as an actor in The Rivertown Players. Ever since she first saw Brigadoon and shouted out "I WANT TO DO THAT!" has she known theatre and acting was for her. When she is not playing Morton the Boy Wizard, Kirsten can be found scrapbooking bows to everything (she looooooves bows), listening to musicals (especially West Side Story!) and enjoying bubblegum ice cream.

Dianna Springford as Prince Dusty Shelfington!
Although this is Dianna's first year as a member of the Rivertown Players, she is no stranger to theatre as she is about to enter her 4th year of theatre at TRU! In her spare time she enjoys singing at the top of her lungs and playing groovy tunes on her guitar. In fact, she loves it so much she wants to roadtrip across Canada on an open mic tour after finishing her degree! At any given moment you'll find Dianna spinning a joke: "What did the 0 say to the 8?...Nice belt!" and eating mint chocolate chip ice cream.
